Death Benefits are payable in installments in the same manner and amounts as temporary disability per Labor Code 4702(b).
Burial Expenses
Maximum Burial Expense Benefit: Labor Code 4701(a) For injuries on or after January 1, 2013 the burial expense is $10,000 for all employees.
Time Limits The application for benefits must be filed within one year after the date of death and within 240 weeks after the date of injury. Both time limits must be met.
