FIVE: Consider Providing Training and Assistance To maximize employee’s ability to improve To maximize school’s ability to successfully discipline or terminate employee To maximize school’s ability to successfully defend litigation SIX: Prepare Annual Evaluation Final chapter in year-long review process Chronicles employee performance during the entire evaluation period Assess Review supervisor & personnel files Review all other relevant data Review previous evaluations & goals Address past and future goals Annual evaluation forms should include: Clear explanation of ratings Comment section for each rating area Ample space to include examples Space to discuss employee’s major accomplishments Space to discuss obstacles and challenges over the review period Annual evaluation should: State whether employee met goals Compare job performance against job duties and performance standards
Commend outstanding performance Identify all performance deficiencies Identify the significance of deficiencies on the school and its programs, students and/or community
