 Expulsion orders  A log identifying persons or agencies who request or received information from the student record  Health information  Information on participation in special education programs, including required tests, case studies, authorizations, and evidence for admission or discharge  Language training records  Progress slip notices required by Education Code 49055 and 49067  Parent restrictions/stipulations regarding access to directory of information  Progress slips regarding pupils who may be in danger of failing classes;  Parent or adult pupil rejoinders to challenged records and to disciplinary action  Parent/guardian authorization or denial of student participation in specific programs  Results of standardized tests administered within the past three years  Permitted records: keep for six (6) months after pupil withdraws or completes educational program. This includes:

 Objective counselor and/or teacher ratings;  Standardized test results older than three years;  Routine discipline data;  Verified reports of relevant behavioral patterns;  All disciplinary notices;  Attendance records.  Records that do not fall into a category: keep for seven (7) years

Review and categorize records annually

 Complete transfer of permanent pupil records within 10 days of receiving request from school  Create policy regarding withholding of pupil records  Willfully damaged school property  Failed to return property, or  Caused injury to another pupil, employee or volunteer  Notify parents first of alleged misconduct
