Expulsion orders A log identifying persons or agencies who request or received information from the student record Health information Information on participation in special education programs, including required tests, case studies, authorizations, and evidence for admission or discharge Language training records Progress slip notices required by Education Code 49055 and 49067 Parent restrictions/stipulations regarding access to directory of information Progress slips regarding pupils who may be in danger of failing classes; Parent or adult pupil rejoinders to challenged records and to disciplinary action Parent/guardian authorization or denial of student participation in specific programs Results of standardized tests administered within the past three years Permitted records: keep for six (6) months after pupil withdraws or completes educational program. This includes:
Objective counselor and/or teacher ratings; Standardized test results older than three years; Routine discipline data; Verified reports of relevant behavioral patterns; All disciplinary notices; Attendance records. Records that do not fall into a category: keep for seven (7) years
Review and categorize records annually
Complete transfer of permanent pupil records within 10 days of receiving request from school Create policy regarding withholding of pupil records Willfully damaged school property Failed to return property, or Caused injury to another pupil, employee or volunteer Notify parents first of alleged misconduct
